Hi, we're the humans behind the sauce
Digital Sauce is a boutique Melbourne agency that designs and builds digital products. We're deliberately small, genuinely senior, and allergic to corporate theatre.
The short version
We started Digital Sauce because we kept watching the same story play out: a business hires a big agency, gets wooed by the A-team in the pitch, then spends six months emailing an account manager while juniors learn on their budget.
So we built the opposite. When you work with us, you talk to the people doing the work — including the owner. We take on a handful of projects a year, on purpose. Enough to keep us sharp, few enough that every project gets our full attention.
Small doesn't mean small-scale. We've partnered with Monash University researchers on consumer health apps, shipped products across iOS and Android, and handled everything from brand strategy to app-store launches. Boutique is a choice about how we work, not a limit on what we can do.
Research partners, not just vendors
We're proud research and development partners with Monash University, working with researchers on improving wellbeing through apps like Monash Thrive and SleepSync.
We speak human
No jargon walls, no "synergising deliverables." We explain what we're doing and why in plain English, and we'd rather tell you an uncomfortable truth than a comfortable maybe.
Why "sauce"?
Because features are just ingredients. The sauce — the care, the craft, the personality — is what makes people come back. Also, we're fun at barbecues.
