The loop we actually use

Every AI-accelerated project at Digital Sauce runs the same four-beat loop:

  1. Design first. Senior designers define the product in Figma — flows, screens, edge cases. AI doesn't decide what's worth building; people do.
  2. AI build. Tools like Cursor with Claude turn those designs into a testable prototype in days. This is where AI genuinely shines: scaffolding, UI assembly, glue code, iteration speed.
  3. Human hardening. Engineers take over the tested product — architecture, performance, security, and the complex components AI can't deliver. On a recent multi-platform build, our team took the AI-built prototype, optimised it, and built the pieces the AI couldn’t.
  4. Ship. App Store and Google Play, monitoring, iteration.

What that looked like in practice

A recent full multi-platform app — real scheduling logic, two user platforms, both app stores — went from first design to deployed in four months, a third of a typical agency timeline. That didn't happen because AI is magic; it happened because the boring 60% of a codebase no longer costs 60% of the calendar.
